Applicants are required to submit the following documents for obtaining Machine Readable Passport (MRP) for the first time from Hand Written Passport:

In light of the prevailing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic situation in New York, as per the guidelines of the local New York government, Bangladesh Consulate General, New York highly emphasizes the public health safety and encourages the valued service seekers to receive consular services by trackable US Postal service. In case of any emergency, Consulate General can be visited after obtaining appointment.

Since physical presence of the applicant is mandatory for first time MRP from hand written passport, the applicants are requested to make an appointment. For appointment please contact: contact@bdcgny.org     

1.  Printed copy (with bar code) of dully filled in Online Machine Readable Passport (MRP) application form       www.passport.gov.bd

2. Passport size photo- 1 copy

3. Original Passport with one set of photocopy (1-5 Pages.)

4. Copy of National Identification Card (NID) or Digital Birth Registration Certificate (17 digits) 

5. Marriage Certificate/Divorse Certificate/Death Certificate/Foreign Passport/Dual Nationality Certificae (DNC)/Professional/Technical Certificate (Doctor, Engineer, Driver, etc) [if applicable].

6. Money Order or Postal Order or Bank Certified Check of $110 for Regular Service (Approximately 35 business days) and $220 for Express Service (Approximately 20 business days) in favour of the Consulate General of Bangladesh, New York.

                                                  Cash or Personal check is not accepted

NB : Issuance of MRP against lost passport or passport expired more than 12 years requires additional police verification. As such, the Consulate General of Bangladesh is unable to indicate any particular time limit.

প্রথম বারের মত মেশিন রিডেবল পাসপোর্টের(MRP) আবেদনের  জন্য  প্রয়োজনীয়  কাগজ পত্রাদি/তথ্যাদি:

হাতে লেখা পাসপোর্ট হতে মেশিন রিডবেল পাসপোর্ট (এমআরপি)
বর্তমানে নিউইয়র্কে করোনাভাইরাস (কভিড-১৯) প্যানডেমিক পরিস্থিতিতে স্থানীয় নিউইয়র্ক সরকার কর্তৃক আরোপিত নির্দেশনা অনুযায়ী জনস্বাস্থ্যের প্রতি সর্বোচ্চ গুরুত্ব প্রদান করে বাংলাদেশ কনস্যুলেট জেনারেল, নিউইয়র্ক ট্রেকএ্যাবল পোস্টাল সার্ভিসের মাধ্যমে সেবা গ্রহণকে সর্বাধিক অগ্রাধিকার প্রদান করছে। তবে, জরুরী প্রয়োজনে সংশ্লিষ্ট কনস্যুলার সেবা গ্রহণের জন্য এ্যাপয়েন্টমেন্ট এর ভিত্তিতে কনস্যুলেট জেনারেলে আগমন করা যাবে।

যেহেতু হাতে লেখা পাসপোর্ট হতে  মেশিন রিডেবল পাসপোর্ট (এমআরপি) করার জন্য আবেদনকারীকে সশরীরে উপস্থিত হতে হয় সেহেতু আবেদনকারীকে এপয়েন্টমেন্ট নিয়ে কনস্যুলেটে আসার জন্য অনুরোধ করা যাচ্ছে। এপয়েন্টমেন্টের জন্য যোগাযোগ করুন  contact@bdcgny.org

১।    যথাযথভাবে অনলাইনে (www.passport.gov.bd) পূরণকৃত  আবেদন ফরম বার কোডসহ

২।    পাসপোর্ট সাইজ ছবি - ১ কপি

৩।    ১ সেট ফটোকপিসহ (১-৫ পাতা) মূল পাসপোর্ট 

৪।   জাতীয় পরিচয়পত্র অথবা জস্মসনদ এর কপি (১৭ ডিজিট)

৫।   বৈবাহিক সনদ অথবা তালাক প্রাপ্তির সনদ অথবা মৃত্যু সনদ অথবা বিদেশী পাসপোর্ট অথবা দ্বৈত নাগরিকত্ব সনদ, প্রাসঙ্গিক টেকনিক্যাল (যেমন ডাক্তার, প্রকৌশলী, ড্রাইভার ইত্যাদি) সনদের কপি (প্রযোজ্য ক্ষেত্রে)।

৬।    "Consulatre General of Bangladesh New York" এর অনুকূলে প্রদানযোগ্য মানি অর্ডার অথবা পোস্টাল অর্ডার অথবা ব্যাংক সার্টিফাইড চেক; সাধারণ সেবা প্রাপ্তির ক্ষেত্রে: ১১০ ডলার (ডেলিভারী : ৩৫ কর্মদিবস) । জরুরী সেবা প্রাপ্তির ক্ষেত্রে: (ডেলিভারী ২০ কর্মদিবস) । 

ব্যক্তিগত চেক অথবা নগদ অর্থ প্রহণ করা হয় না ।

বি: দ্র: হারানো পাসপোর্ট ও ১২ বছরের উর্ধ্ব মেয়াদের পাসপোর্টের ক্ষেত্রে পুলিশ ভেরিফিকেশন প্র্র্রয়োজন বিধায় উপরোক্ত সময়সীমা তাদের জন্য প্রযোজ্য নয়।
